It is required by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education for school age care professionals working in licensed programs but also a great training for new staff in any afterschool program setting. At the completion of this learning event, learners will be able to create and promote learning environments that meet all children’s developmental needs, foster positive behavior and identify quality elements of school age care
In this course, you’ll explore the roles and responsibilities of outdoor supervision through anticipation, behavior, and consideration to keep children safe in outdoor play environments.
Learners will discuss ways to reduce the risk of SIDS through safe sleep practices for infants. Learners will also review Safe Sleep Policy guidelines, NC Division of Child Development and Early Education licensing rule, maintenance of the proper forms, and other “Best Practice” recommendations.
